| An
around-the-way girl,
Lauren Woods
comes to SLU from nearby
Belleville East HS where she was All Everything.
Lauren chose the Billikens over several other
respectable programs & the Billikens couldn’t be
happier. |

In addition to getting
steals and scoring lay ups, Lauren enjoys cliff
diving in Costa Rica, shopping, (you should see
this girl’s shoe collection!), Philip, and working
on getting her Xclusive Girls clothing line
trademarked. .

The Freshman
Diaries – LAUREN WOODS
Where is Myspace? - Diary
Entry #2
Most college students are familiar with the social
networking website Myspace. The website is popular, fun,
and it allows the users to exchange thoughts and ideas.
Although I enjoy passing time in the virtual world of
myspace, I now find myself in the "real world" of
college athletics.
My role as a Saint Louis University student is clearly
defined. I still must develop an understanding of my
role in this wonderful basketball program. In
other words, where is MY Space?
The recruiting process is over, (Man, those were the
days). I am now being introduced to the hard knock life
of a collegiate student athlete. Being a freshman
certainly has its share of challenges. Everything is new
to me. The university, living on my own, my classmates,
the coaches, and my teammates.
My teammates are talented and want to win. Although we
function and execute as a team, each individual brings
something special to the table. Every player on the team
was their high school team's "go to" player. My
teammates were All this, All that, Miss this, MVP's,
Best Offensive this, Best Defensive that. I know because
I "googled" each and every one of them.
But a star is not truly a star until it finds its place
in the sky. As a freshman, I'm not exactly sure what to
expect during the upcoming season. However, I know one
thing...I have got to find “myspace”!.
